Serving
Serving is an important part of the Christian life. God has given every believer gifts, abilities, and opportunities that can be used to strengthen the church, encourage others, and help advance the work of the Kingdom.
At the Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc., we believe service is not limited to the pulpit. Ministry also happens through hospitality, music, media, ushering, teaching, outreach, prayer, giving, administration, visiting the sick, supporting families, and helping wherever there is a need.
Serving should come from a humble heart and a sincere desire to please God. Jesus taught that true greatness is found in serving others. When we serve, we follow His example and become part of the work God is doing in the church and in the community.
Every believer should prayerfully seek where they can be useful in the body of Christ. Some may serve publicly, while others may serve quietly behind the scenes, but every act of faithful service matters to God.
Whether you are newly connected, returning to church, or looking for a place to use your gifts, we encourage you to speak with local leadership and find a way to serve faithfully.
