Due to concerns expressed by national, state, and local government officials and healthcare officials, the 2020 Annual Holy Convocation is canceled. We will continue to monitor conditions related to COVID-19 to determine the status of our other events. Additional information will be forthcoming. Please continue to pray for each other and communities across the world who are being impacted by this deadly virus.

SUBJECT: Convocation 2020

Praise the Lord Saints,

I pray that you are blessed and encouraged in the Lord.

Convocation 2020, previously scheduled for June 29 - July 6, 2020, will not

convene as previously scheduled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. It is

important that we comply with the directives of federal, state, and local

governments in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Although we lament the fact that we cannot convene worship services as

usual, I encourage each of you to remain consistent in your walk with God

and to keep your faith strong. And remember, the time will come when we

will gather again for congregational worship. But until then, while we are

unable to assemble together bodily, let us be united spiritually.

Please continue to pray for the physical and spiritual wellbeing of the saints

and for the state of all humanity.

Welcome to our services.

April 6, 2020

TO: Members of the Progressive Church Family

FROM: Bishop Edward Smith, Presiding Bishop

Praise the Lord Saints,

I pray the blessings of God upon each of you during these challenging times.

I commend our pastors who are convening virtual worship services during this time when we cannot convene congregational services. Please know that we can and should continue to worship God even when we cannot assemble to do so.

The acts of worship including prayer, praise, thanksgiving, bible reading, and humble submission to the will of God, etc. can be practiced in the absence of congregational worship. At its core, worship is personal. Therefore, each of us can worship God individually and we can practice family worship during this time.

I look forward to the time that we will gather again for congregational worship. What a time that will be! But until that time, please support your local church’s virtual services.

Be encouraged, be blessed, be united in spirit, and be safe. And, please pray especially for our physical and spiritual well-being.

I greet each of you in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for taking time to visit our national church website. The year 2019 marks the 75th Anniversary of the Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. To God be all the glory!

The Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. is an Apostolic organization whose roots can be traced back to the day of Pentecost.  In a time when so many churches are bowing to the pressures of society, the Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ is committed to preaching and teaching the Apostolic Doctrine without compromise. We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, reception of the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in other tongues, and living a holy and sanctified life, according to the teachings of the Word of God. We are striving to face today's challenges through the Word of God. Our ultimate goal is to prepare souls to spend eternity with our Lord Jesus Christ.

I invite you to look around our website and see the great things that are going on in "Progressive."
