Pastor and Sister Robert Donald

Elder Donald graduated from C.A. Johnson High School 1974. He received a scholarship to Albany State College, and attended his first years of college there.  During the summer of 1975, Elder Donald was invited to service at the Headquarters Church by one of his former classmates.  He heard and received the gospel and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ according to Acts 2:38.  Shortly afterwards, he receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  He transferred his course of study to Benedict College and began attending services at the Headquarters Church in Columbia, SC.

Elder Donald was called into the ministry and received his minister's license in 1981.  He was ordained as an Elder during the Annual Holy Convocation in 1991. In 1985, Brother Ernest Mayers made a request to begin a mission in Chapin, SC.  The late Bishop Joel G. Washington assigned Minister Donald to the task.  Many souls in the areas were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the gift of the Holy Ghost.  The mission was later relocated to Newberry, SC. The church recently purchased 1 1/2 acres of land and is currently raising funds for the building of a new church edifice.  The church currently sponsors two radio broadcasts that can be heard on WKDK at 10:00 a.m. every 4th and 5th Sunday and on WKMG 1520, which is aired weekly at 12:00 Noon on Sundays.

Elder Donald is married to the former Sister Yvonne Eichelberger.  They have been blessed with three wonderful children: Kimbery Claudia (20), Robert Lee III (16), and Bethany Geniece (14).

Elder Donald received his BS Degree from Limestone College and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree at Columbia International University.  He is a master electrician and a local contractor.
