Information on the Guild |
|
The
Ministers' Wives Guild is designed for the wives of all bishops, elders and
ministers. The guild meets on the Saturday morning of the quarterly
ministers' meetings, beginning with prayer from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
and a session from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
The purpose of the Ministers' Wives Guild is to be a support group to the
ministers' wives. The guild was designed to educate ministers' wives of
their duties in the house of the Lord, in their homes, and in the
community. |

From the President's Desk |

Praise the Lord!
I give all honor and glory to God for
the opportunity He has afforded me to serve as the president of a group of
women who are destined for greatness - the ministers' wives.
All around the world, a growing
effort is being made to care for the needs of men and women in ministry.
The cry for encouragement and renewal is being heard in our communities.
Women whose husbands are ministers
are a unique species because we are often identified with our husband's
occupation in ways other women are not. We are called to be part of the
total ministerial service of our husbands.
I pray it is your desire to pursue
the will of God, develop your leadership skills and serve humanity. But,
you must realize that this is not a casual endeavor. It is the call to
Christ and makes Him known to this sinful world. It is the joy of bringing
hope and healing to a weary world.
We must never forget that we have a
special call to the service we render. The clear need of the church today
is for spiritual leadership.
It is my prayer that you desire to
open new doors of personal fulfillment and challenge in your walk with God
and also in the unveiling of your God-given potential for spiritual growth
and fulfillment. But, the choice is yours!
